I agree with the two people who said they thought this song was from the friend of theirs that had passed away.
It reminds me of my friend who just passed away over the summer and I know she is always with us, watching over us, I feel her with me every time I get upset about it. |

The lead singer of Saosin is a mormon. And in the LDS religion the "holy ghost" is suppose to, kinda always be with you and help you have the ability to choose right from wrong, for a small part of it. And I think the "Taking on seven years,/ that holy ghost had left alone." Means that he was kind of on his own for those seven years. Had to do it all on his own.
That's just my take on it, coming from a mormon standpoint. I could be totally wrong. |

I don't know how many times a day I listen to it to get me through the death of some one very close to me, even though it happened almost four years ago. It's been hitting me hard lately.
