Björk – I See Who You Are Lyrics 16 years ago
I'd like to think the song is purely situational and could be her daughter in one sense and a her partner. love's love in this song and the interprestation in this song is purely spiritual. listen to the message: enjoy your time here on earth and love all you can.

Massive Attack – What Your Soul Sings Lyrics 16 years ago
i love the line
Say what your soul sings to you
i feel that lyric is the heart of this song, do what makes you feel happy, don't be ashamed of who you are, never compromise yourself for others
true poetry =)

The Delgados – Woke From Dreaming Lyrics 17 years ago
i can definitely see where you are coming from with the side story. But i see the story being told as a metaphor for inner struggle. Like someone who is fighting aganist themselves and the 'pressure' starts to get to them after a while. ultimately the person decides to resolve or 'kill' what is causing the pain in their life. Sorta like getting the courage to stand up to yourself.

Yoko Kanno – Where Does This Ocean Go? Lyrics 17 years ago
to zdkm i was think the exact same thing, it's the high top in the background i think. i kinda figured the song is about someone examining their life, as to figure out what significance it holds.

Björk – Wanderlust Lyrics 17 years ago
i love this song so much! mostly i think the song is about thinking for yourself for your own personal pleasure...like a person's the strong desire to experince something new, and being tired of adhering cultural patterns/norms. also i notice (whether or not it was intentional) that there is the play on the wanderlust to wonderless, which could be alluding to a living in a unadmirable world where noone thinks for themselves... as for the pattern, i thinks its about societal norms, that we all are so used to adhering to. btw, the mathew herbert remix is great as well.

The Delgados – The Light Before We Land Lyrics 19 years ago
though i agree with pumkinhed, i think its jus a little more than that. i believe the speaker is complaning about life and the aspects of it not having a enough passion/zest. the way the music switches from heavy (almost like friction between metals) to soft and lyrical (like a wistful lullaby) can be percived as a person's thought process when working out a problem. the problem could be tug-of-war situation that person is going through in their mind. the decision is whether to let things be as they are or act upon their lament and do something. this song is mainly about putting in that last amount of energy into the effort of reconcilation, in order to recapture the beauty that was lost. neverthenless, its a beautiful~ kinda reminds me of a sunset.
