The couple is always arguing. They love each other and they'd never leave each other ("Girl you can't shake me, nor would you ever want to. They're not gonna give up on their relationship until it gets back to normal ("We started something and I aint about to give in till we get those pieces back together again."). I really doubt this song is about having sex with a minor. I think it's about being a relationship (friendship or dating) where the other person is always unhappy. The narrator is a generally happy person and has gotten sick of constantly humoring ("I'll do my best to feel broke down") their friend's poor attitude. The lines "when everything feels the same /... and all the days, they fade away / and all the nights, they've never felt the same" speak to the other person's depression. The narrator feels like their friend is enjoying the constant self-pitying ("You never wanna stop / You always wanna feel this way") and wants them to just try to be happy again. |
