i dunno, for me this song is definitely about matters of the heart. about trying to supress feelings you might have for someone. in the third and fourth verses its like he lets himself go for a moment, allows himself a glimmer of hope that there's a chance of happiness with this other person "I know, somehow... We'll find ourselves... I don't know, I don't know" (denying it) "Then we'll be high again I almost forgot myself there" (pushing it back down) but i think also he knows that the other person feels the same towards him - "It hits you so hard And kills again" on a personal note, for me this song sums up a situation i had a while ago, fianlly finding a great boyfriend, but then finding out that another fling actually liked me too. its about trying to ignore feelings towards the other guy |
