I ordered Indian Summer, and this is now my new favorite Carbon Leaf song. To me, this song shows how listening to music can affect your mood, whether happy or sad. I like the lyric "The heart is for bleeding". Singing that line as hard as i can lets me let out a lot of emotion that's built up over the years :) |

I doubt Barry would use myspace as a reference in one of his songs... but you never know! I like this song. The starting bit really sounds like the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I especially like: I'm international, And you’re orbiting my brain, I'm reduced to writing nothing All over napkins on the plane. I smile every time i hear that :) |

This song brings out a lot of emotions for me. It makes me realize that, although you may spend almost every day with them, there will be a time when you have to say goodbye to your dearest friends. It reminds me that friends are one of the only things you can always rely on, through the thick and thin. I listen to this song as often as i can, because it reminds me how much friends should be appreciated, I think many of us take them for granted. |

ok, so this song is about a man and a woman, and their relationship. He is the train, and the railroad he's travelling on is their relationship (over all that we've been through), and he's trying to get to the woman, who is at the end of the line . The only thing that matters to the man anymore is her (Nothing left to lose or gain, but distance over time) Well, that's my interpretation of the song. I'm wondering if this song has a connection with love, loss, hope, repeat, because it mentions a train line in that song too. Just a few errors i noticed - "A never unbinding load" not "An ever inviting node" "Unaware of my gain in speed" not "Unaware if i'm gaining speed" "I am a train wreck, haulin' back to you" not "I hand my train-wrecked heart back to you" |

Yeah i think the radio version isnt the best. The only thing better about this version is the beginning : "Yeah, yeah, yeah that's right... yeah yes, yes, yup yup that sounds fine i'll call you on thursday, alright bye" LMAO |

| The Decemberists – The Perfect Crime #2 Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I don't understand why people hate this song. Sure, it's different, and the lyrics don't reflect the decemberists's ability, but the music is still really catchy and personally I love it! I went to see them live about a week ago, and this was one of their best songs they performed. Especially watching Jenny play the bit after "as we mouthed our silent goodbies" and the keyboard part goes crazy.... its awesome :) |
