| Lene Marlin – Story Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think its a remembrance to a person (possibly a family member) who committed suicide... | |
| Something Corporate – Ben Franklin's Kite Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
It is not "incessinct", it is insensate. Which means foolish, prone to a lack of understanding... The song uses drug addiction as an analogy for the relationship. Like an addict, he continually to indulge in something that is slowly killing him, but giving him momentary highs... Just like Ben Franklin's Kite, he's experiencing this momentary high knowing that lightening might strike at any time (the bad side of the relationship). Even though he realizes what's going on, he's weak and prone to doing these things to himself to stop it... Truly amazing song |

| Nedelle – Heatstroke Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The idea that things we think are big and significant, especially relationships, aren't really all that special or significant... Coming to that realization and trying to make it work or just letting it go |

| Kanye West – Flashing Lights (feat. Dwele) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Peter86... the "caesar" reference is not relating to the "mona lisa" its relating to the play on the word "roam" also Rome... where the caesars lived | |
| Jimmy Eat World – Firefight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song seems to be about being with someone and the moment being right and being swallowed up in the passion, the "firefight"... Not letting the transgressions and other sins against love that happened in the past interfere (Silver eyes of temptress). The person the author is talking to is considering leaving and the author won't change/leave their feelings behind (if you let go then that's where time will stand)... great song |

| Stars – Barricade Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Maybe it's just me, but this song instantly struck me as a commentary of the mindless violence in Northern Ireland. Protestant v. Catholic. The "barricade" being the barrier between the Protestants and Catholics and the "day he lost her" is when he realized that she was too divisive to ever form any true, meaningful relationship. He, at first, approved and indulged in her passion, but he soon began to realize that it was a manical pursuit, not a burning love... just my thoughts |

| Jason Collett – I'll Bring the Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The celebrity connections seems that she's an LA girl and the "good place to be Judas" seems like he's betraying something or someone to be with her. It almost seems like a long distance relationship "2000 miles away from you" and him being the east coast guy feels like he's betraying home by falling in love with a west coast girl... And without him, she's lonely. Analogized by him bringing her the sun even though she's in a really warm locale... |

| Gregory and the Hawk – Avalanche! Oh, Avalanche! Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Its not really that silly... Avalanches are an analogy for love. We always hear about the tales of heart break and so many of us put up our defenses against it, yet still, some people always get hurt... |

| Gregory and the Hawk – Isabelle Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I agree with meetme and amy xx... The shove his strong hands away line definitely seems like there's a reciprocated attraction between the author and isabelle's husband. The tobacco strewn backyard and the "you'll be gone from sight" definitely make it seem like Isabelle is dying/dead from Cancer. I'd agree with the author strugling with her attraction for Isabelle's husband and her confusion about her loyalty to her dying/dead friend. Great song |

| Dear and the Headlights – Paper Bag Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song feels like the whole downside of "ignorance is bliss". The author knows too much about himself (wisdom's only shown me that my loneliness is all my fault) and not enough about whom it is they love (I don't get you at all). However, everyone seems to be assuring the author to just keep on the straight-and-narrow. It seems that out of maybe youthful exuberence, lost the person from some inaction (I didn't know the things that you never did could stay with you your whole life) and regrets it. Hindsight is 20/20 |

| The Bird and the Bee – Fucking Boyfriend Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Seems like a passive aggressive singer/narrarator wanting more from a relationship than the boy is willing to give them. So, they consent to be "just another" for the boy, but secretly, they want to confront him and demand to be the only f*cking one... | |
| The Bird and the Bee – Again & Again Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song sorta seems to be filled with a friends with benefit connotation. Where the narrarator/singer seems to be in a love/hate relationship with the other person. They have nothing in common and don't get along, but when they're around each other, they just want to rip the other's clothes off. I think we've all been there, to some degree | |
