| Dropkick Murphys – Flannigan's Ball Lyrics
| 17 years ago

The song has nothing to do with Quincy, Mass. This song was originally written hundreds of years ago as a Celtic ballad called "Lannigan's Ball" about a guy named Lannigan who learned to dance and decided to throw a party to show off when a fight broke out and ruined it. DKM took the ballad and set it to punk, much like they did with "Finnegan's Wake", which was another Celtic ballad originally. |

| NOFX – The Decline Lyrics

The song is about societal issues in America and how the government isn't doing anything about them, they are only trying to line their own pockets. The "decline" they speak of is the spiralling path of destruction that Americans make by electing the officials that create these problems for us and are leading America into a societal abyss from which true anarchy, peace, and prosperity will govern the people's lives after they figure out that we don't need governments to tell us how to live. |

It's about a guy who is worried that his girlfriend is going to break up with him because she didn't say goodnight and this song is telling her that even though she thinks they're broken up he's thinking that they're not. Very powerful song. |

I always thought it was about a buy and his girlfriend who get into a car crash and as he's dying on the hospital bed he wishes that he won't die so he could be with her , but then he finds out that she dies and he wishes that he had too, "Your heart had to let me go. Now I'd rather die than ever be alone, oh yeah" |
