| Keane – Is It Any Wonder? Lyrics

This song is directed towards: God, the Devil, or forces out of this world. I think he's saying that he always believed that he was saved and that he was going to be one of the chosen ones no matter what but that through life he realized that he was wrong and that things aren't as simple as he once believed. I think we he talks about the Cathedral he is talking about himself because in certain religions the body is consider the temple. In that line I think he's saying he feels empty left with only his own sad spires. |

I think he's speaking about cocaine when he talks about manna. I think this because of Chappelle show and the famous line "Cocaine is a hell of a drug," by Rick James. I think it's just a subtle way of saying it. |

Unlike everyone else I think the song is from Andy's perspective... meaning Andy is talking to himself.
He tells himself not to be in love with the girl because he's so much bigger than her... ie a star!
I know I personally like listening it from first perspective. It makes it way more relate able. |

I agree and no this song is about sex addiction but I can't help and wonder if it really is about drugs specifically weed. If you really read the lyrics and follow along it fits perfectly with being addicted to a drug like that. That thought alone makes me believe its just about the power and obsession a person can have with any addiction sex, drugs or whatever. |

This song is partly connected to Seventy times seven. At its core its about letting go of your bitterness and resentment and reestablishing and trying to mend your life's relationships and dreams. Hence putting the seeds in the ground. My favorite part is the end when Jesse Screams I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND. I'm just a man who knows how to feel... here he is speaking directly to us the fans. Hes saying that he isn't our friends or family but a man who can relate to us and our own life struggles... at least thats what I think. |

I think its about guy sleeping with his best friends girl friend. Not necessarily his girlfriend, but at least a girl he was interested in or dating. If you look at the first verse it is clear that this is what the song is about. In the first few lines he is saying that he slept with his friends girl and that he really didn't feel remorseful about it, and that he also told a mutual friend but he really didn't expect it to get back to him but his friend is cunning for finding out. At the end of the song he is remorseful and sad that he wreck or damaged his friendship. |

I think this definatley takes place before Cheers Darlin. To me it sounds like he is getting ready for the wedding. Cheers Darlin is his recount of the wedding while Pargue deals with what he was thinking before his ex-lovers weds.
I pack my suit in a bag
I'm all dressed up for prague
I'm all dressed up with you
All dressed up for him too...
I definatley think its before. |
