This is a great song about quitting drugs and drinking the 'whos the opposition' part referring to a struggle where the only enemy is yourself i think the seven years down thing is just like him sayin he been clean for 7 years... which is an incredible feat for a punk rocka and that last chorus is somethin like "????kids smoking crack and drinkin They Said I don't belong here, fuck you mohican They call me a faggot and they shove me out. But I don't give a fuck, I never did." |

though some of their songs are just nonsensical ramblings i think this one has to do with maybe the first war in the middle east because of both the 'flying over the great bay' reference to possibly an american jet pilot and they had a real lack of technology hence the shackled old man horse refernce and how they cant survey the skies or w/e... or it could just all be nonsense... who knows |

This was the first punk song i ever heard i was about 10 years old and i fell in love with the dead kennedys their still my favorite band this is a really fun and crazy song with a wacked out premise but its got a point and its also a metaphor at the last part where he says 'as if you werent already, youre all our termites now' meaning theyve got all the power and were basically termites to the cops and business men. just a kickass song in general though. |
