I think it's about the lack of individuality in society, people aren't thinking for themselves and he (feels like he) is the only one seeing clear.
There might also be something about the reproducing of mankind :) he says: "the dam is cracked with no room to expand and seats are filling up quick inside".

this guy really likes his girlfriend ;) he knows that she's not good for him, but he can't help loving her. She seems pleased with the situation, because he congratulates her with catching him again. sad really, but good song :D |

Sounds like it's about the James Bulger-case, I don't know much about it, but that makes the most sense.
The picture show... was there a lot of media attention?
It can't be abortion, because then you don't carry a child for nine months. Why would an abortion be in the papers?
I think the icicle is the pain the mom's feeling: when will it end (melt)? when will the papers leave it alone?
it's about a mom, losing her son, but still having the connection between them (because nine months is too long NOT to have one) |

I always thought it was "put your hands BESIDE my face and see that it's just you", like someone needs to look at her and see her for who she is (the same as her lover/person she wrote the song for?). makes more sense than 'inside'. |

You all know that Izzy Drew Lynn means "Is he drooling?" just like Mike Roskope ("microscope",) Herb Reath Stinks ("her breath stinks") and Erik Shun ("erection")! It's just the band members' nick names!
but here's one I can't figure out though: Groggy Nodbeggar. Maybe it's because I'm Dutch but I can't figure out what they mean! You guys have any clue? |
