i think the song goes "you got breaking up all but down" [when he says the last three mystery words he makes a noise like a b... like how people pronounce b-u together if that makes sense] I think that the song can be interpreted alot of ways, but i think its about him and the girl [ofcourse]. and the girl wasn't ready for the relationship, but she had gotten to far into it and when she broke up seemed seemed like a big bad guy. and stephen is upset and angry and isn't looking at the stituation from both sides. yeah. uh huh// september 30th will be a glorious day! |

This song is sooo uhmazing. It really surprised me when I found out that people stopped listening to HIL because of Suck Out The Poison, but that was the c.d. that made me listen to them more. But anyways..... 1.Schuylar has the stinkin best voice ever. 2.The drums are uhmazing in EVERY song of theirs [go steve!] 3.The lyrics are absolutely positively brilliant 4.I really like how its not the same with every c.d. I mean consistancy is great, but when its like Hawk Nelson and EVERYTHING sounds the SAME. I think this new c.d. will bring back some of the old fans. this song is about change. also possibly about humility, being able to say he has changed, humbling himself. showing his weakness |

i think this song is the best. well one of. its definitely an aquired taste for me its nothing like i have heard from anberlin. but its good. there was one song on"blueprints for the blackmarket" KINDA like this. like similarites that i can't really explain 1:this whole c.d. his voice, sounds, different kinda. not like DIFFERENT like in sound, but different in intensity and maturity. like he has grown . [yes i know his like 20 something and yea but you should understand what i mean] 2: the line "My mask is growing heavy but I've forgotten who's beneath" is so true about society. i mean. everyone walks around with smiles plastered on their faces even though, they could be dying on the inside. the unwritten rules of society are sloppy. |

wow. this song fits me entirely. I mean sure. I dd get the "never take friendshp personal" c.d. almost a year before I got "blueprints for hte black market" but the more I am thinking about it. the more and more it ties into my life. Ihave recently gotten over a hugeee hurt. I hoenstly thought I would die without this guy. and he was only my best friend. but as soon as I got over that. this guy that was basically my brother. move 2 states away. without telling me or talking to me 6 months later. talk about suckie eh? oh well. but all of anberlins song's prove just how much they know about life and how they know what their fans can go through. |

okay. sot his si pretty cool. I had a english assignment to do about a song that I listened to and it seemed to have a "deeper meaning" andI chose this song. because of "penance the fire drake". Then I realized that I needed to knwot he definiton. so I looked it up Penance means either sacrfice for sin or worship. and Fire Drake menas either fire breathing dragon or fire breathing duck. So that whole line means worship the firs breathing dragon/duck. I decided i wanted to find out the REAL meaning behind that and I asked stephen in the letter "pennence the fire drake comes from one of my favorite william shakespere stories. i wanted other people to explore poetry in that stage of my life so i kind of slipped that into the song." yea pretty cool huh? I never really realized how awesome anberlin is. I am learning so much about them. Everyone else should too! they. are. the. shizz. okay. sorry. I just thought It is really cool stephen replied ack ya know. them being my favorite band and all. . . |
