This song is about syd, in fact the entire album is about him. The machine is fame that he was unable to handle. Plays a mean guitar - duh!
"its all right we told you what to dream" - Pink Floyd replaced him with Gilmore because of his odities, they expected syd just to write music for him - telling him what to dream - being the song writer not the famed musician he always strived to be. |

I'm surprised to see so little feedback on this song. Especially after all of the shit our government has been putting us through for nearly the last 8 years. The world sees that government is doing nothing but causing death and destruction nation to nation. Fuck bush, fuck the government. |
