An amazing song from an amazing band. You all nailed the rest of the meaning of the song without much difficulty but I wanted to put in my ten cents on the whole "evil in the closet" ordeal. From personal experience i've felt the same way. Above, some one mentioned that the author is in love with some one and cares deeply enough for them. So much that even if it hurts him, he wants to watch, help, and guide her. However, this doesnt always mean she wants him around. The "evil in the closet" comparison coming from the author is him trying to say that even if he has to become something she hates and despises, he would still do it if it meant he could be around and watch over her. Another beautiful ballad from Diru. For those who cant find thier own meaning, i think this song is about reminiscing (sp?) about the past, the good and the bad. But then he goes into saying how "hey smile don't cry anymore from here on, always, I'll be watching you" Which means he'll be watching from above and that he'll always be with the loved one hes talking to through this song. So basically, even if he loses his life, he'd still be with whomever he loved. Symbols like the seasons changing just represent time hes doing all of this, and the Snow must have meant something special to him and somone else. Im willing to bet Kyo wrote this song with somone particular in mind? |

Well the meaning in the song is obvious, its about feeling worthless and broken hearted. Jesus christ, this song live is probably one of the saddest things ever. Not this song alone, but songs like this is what attracted me to Diru. Ive just been so tired of the typical factory built bands that are only in existance because "MAKING A BAND IS COOL!" or "ITS EASY MONEY!". Diru isnt like that, and obviously everything they do is emotionally driven and put out there for its fans 100% |

This is definantly THE defining song of Withering to Death imho. Kyo's voice tends to almost overflow with emotion. My interpretation is even when things in life have gotten to the point of attempted suicide from losing loved ones and seeing all the horrible things around you, like the "Flowers" Kyo refers to at the end, life can bloom and begin anew if your willing to work for it. "The Final" to me means the final time he'd try to take his life and to try and make life worth living again. |
