ahah the topic of the song seems pretty similar to "deep inside" which talks about getting stoned and getting lost. It's really interesting how this band has matured and grown and to see their take on essentially the same topic before. why was this only released in japan? not fair |

Yeah... this song is definately about an obsessive infatuation. It's very clever/ironic that they decided to use angels, a symbol of heavenly purity. Other than the juxtaposition (i guess) anyone have any idea why angels? |

yeah the overall meaning's been pretty much nailed I think it's so clever how the word "dig" has multiple meanings in this song. "we all have something that digs at us" and "at least we dig each other" and "dig me up from under what is covering The better part of me." all use different definitions and connotations of the same three letter word The song seems to be purposefully ambigious to fit a lotta different interpretations and situations, although IMO it seems to focus more on the platonic relationships. I don't see the kinda romantic tones that their other songs had. |
