I agree with everyone's posts about Peter Parker and Mary Jane but perhaps, "hope dangles on a string like slow-spinning redemption winding in and winding out the shine of it has caught my eye" As this song was written for Spiderman, the line "hope dangles on a string" could mean that Mary Jane will find it in herself to accept that he's spiderman (the string being a string of web), web also shines and catches your eye. "Slow-spinning redemption" perhaps has something related to the spider-ness of Peter Parker as although spider's spin webs quickly, it may take a while for Mary Jane to forgive Peter that he hadn't told her about his spiderism. idk. probs makes no sense and has nothing to do with anything. but i feel cool that i came out with a meaning. so don't take that away from me. :] |

The best part of this song? 2:55. "And Jesus... I'm ready to come HOMEEEEEE!" God, this song is just so powerful. I've listened to it for hours on end for days. It really reminds me of my best friend. When I first met him, I had a really huge crush on him, then when we were on a night out not so long ago, it turns out he felt the same but we both never did anything about it. But we're just really great friends now. So I'm actually glad we've stuck as friends instead of us going out and it perhaps not working out and loosing each other for good. Yeah you guys really wanted to know all that. ^o) :D |

What the hellllll...?! Why are people dissing The O.C?! Everyone has different opinions on things, if we didn't then life would be pretty shit tbh. In my opinion, The O.C is fucking immense and some of my favourite bands were brought to my attention through The O.C introducing them. To me, this song is about falling in love. This song was playing when me and a guy I was seeing at the time were making out.
