Lyric corrections: "And draw tiny pictures 'round all the days" Should be: "And draw tiny pictures around the dead leaves" "Get some sleep or lie in wait Until the day I run away" Should be: "Get some sleep or lie in wake Until the day I burn away" "The judge be judged, and all the rich be saved." Should be: "The judge be judged, and all the wretched be saved." "I throw my curse all across your days" Should be: "I throw my curse all across your name" |

Way I see the song is that someone did something bad in their life and then used the Jesus crutch to say that they were saved despite doing it. Bag and burn to conceal your sins and judge others that aren't religious. The rat is the person that saw the person do what they did so they need to bury them so they don't tell anyone of what they've done. "Get some sleep or lie in wake" could be saying that the guilt of the person keeps them up at night. Then when they die the rat will throw the curse of what the other did to make sure he pays for what he has done. I explained that really bad but hope you understood it |

I agree with take the ticket: Pretty much it is about someone in a large group who knows exactly what to say to turn the mob on anyone he wants. He uses the ability of deceit to get ahead. "Dance fucker, Dance" is to me the "Dance" the people he takes out do when they are being taken down. "There's someone in your way And now someone is gonna pay If you can't get what you want Well it's all because of me" When the narrator catches on to what the person is doing and tries to stop him. Even though he tried to stop him, the narrator still has no chance once the person has his sights set on him and has the mob on his side. And by taking the narrator out he becomes the leader of the mob in a way, instead of just coming in when needed. |

Those lyrics are incorrect I believe should be: You're growing cold, The end is near I know it's sad, Its true my dear What's one more blow to seal this fate And what's one more nail It's getting late So check our pulse Keep our hearts from breaking Beating still six feet deep A funeral for all the love we've lost We'll bury yesterday Things I've never said before Always six feet deep Buried alive I soon grow weak One last embrace Then never speak Death warrant signed Lying in state This coffin is lined It's never too late to check our pulse Ooh You're growing cold Ooh you're growing cold Keep our hearts from breaking Beating still six feet deep A funeral for all the love we've lost We'll bury yesterday Things I've never said before Always six feet deep Keep our hearts from breaking Beating still six feet deep A funeral for all the love we've lost We'll bury yesterday Things I've never said before Always six feet deep |

| I can see that too, i kinda thought that for a bit but a lot of the reason of my explanation/view is more of what was going on in my own life like right now. | |

"Somewhere she is on the streets trying to make things better Praying to God and breathing deep Gotta break this long obsession" Also that verse I think is more of a rebound step where she basically wants to get out and try getting over him by making herself easy or "losing her grace" you could say. |

I feel that it is really a mix of things. He obviously loves the girl in this song and she is going through a very rough time in her life. This song has a lot of interpretations. I personally kind of see the girl just getting over a long relationship and him having feelings for her. She is breaking down and doesn't want to let go of her ex. And he finds it hard to look at her because he can see she is going through the breakup hard and wants her to have everything. The last verse about keeping your eyes open is him basically trying to tell her that she deserves so much better and could have anything she wants if she tries instead of wanting to settle for the guy who dumped her. The reason I interpret it as that is mainly because I have been helping one of my good friends over a breakup and would do everything for her... but yeah it can be interpretted many ways |
