She doesn't want him to look down on her. He wants to help her, he wants to know what's going on with her so he can help but he doesn't want to be 'kept out' - he wants the truth. "Put me in the closet, but I just can't fit" She tries to keep him from knowing what's going on with her and it's breaking his heart, sucking the love and life right out of him he loves her so much. "I'm watching you, watching me I'm wanting you, wanting me I'm watching you, watching me I'm wanting you, wanting me" -He's looking right through her, he knows something is wrong but she tries to keep up her front. He wants all of her = physically and emotionally and it's mutual but the fact that she's hiding her feelings from him makes it too hard. "I see your pictures of the past They haunt me I can see the truth, but I just won't believe And now you're skeletons are taunting me I just can't face all my memories I'm slowly dying by watching you" -He sees how happy she was when she was younger, she had everything and more going for her, it makes him wonder what the hell happened to make her lose faith and start to break apart. He knows for sure that something traumatic has happened to her and he wants to know why she's not letting him in. He may have her physically but he wants the whole package - he wants to know what he can do to love her and help her through her darkness. It's killing him inside knowing that she has lost herself. She might be leading a destructive lifestyle = drinking, drugs, smoking, cutting, etc. and it's excruciatingly painful for him to see someone he loves do this to themselves. He can't understand why someone so beautiful and fortunate would be so scared. "As I fall apart inside On and on, It's killing me this time As I suffer and I die On and on and on and on" "I'm dying for you Yeah, I'm dying for you I'm dying for you" -These last two verses he's basically saying I can't take it anymore. He'd do anything to help her, to take her pain away if he could. But because she won't let him in he's losing it inside. |

He's gotten to the point where he doesn't care anymore because no matter how hard he tried to please or show his love for those around him or his girlfriend - he was let down or his actions were tossed aside. There's only so many tears you can cry before it drains the light from your eyes and there is only so much pain a soul can take before it starts to die inside. And as he's pouring his soul out to them his heart can finally have some comfort even though it's scarred. "I leave my heart to take With blood shot eyes Your heart will break As this night fades again So broken down I've lost again I'm lost again" -And just when he thinks things could be getting better he might either be let down again, so his will to care has faded/he's giving up completely. WOW! This song is totally awesome.. Not only catchy but the lyrics are super rad. I can relate to this song. | This song is pretty amazing and it's very inspirational. I'm glad I heard it 'cause lately I've been dealing with a lot of anger and sadness... Everything seems like nothing will ever get better.. Every time I get my hopes up I'm let down again and again.. At any rate, this song is basically saying don't give up - everyone has their troubles and everyone is fighting a battle at the same time that we are. * This song has such an amazing sound! I absolutely love listeneing to it over and over and over again. To me it's about being betrayed by someone who has put a lot of trust into someone who claimed they'd always be there for you. The person ends up playin' mind games and gets caught up in his own web. The person who's bein' deceived finally puts two and two together and figures out that the person you thought you knew wasn't that person at all. My favorite line is the part where he says "It's funny to me how you've turned into such a joke.." He's sort of laughing at them 'cause in the beginning the person who was the "joke" was the one who was being played, but the tables were turned on the one who was playin' the games. |

To me this song is about someone who's love runs deeper than the oceans and stretches out across the heavens. "Even if saving you sends me to heaven.." He/she is willing to take any risk to save the one they love. I truly believe there are MANY ANGELIC BEINGS among us. All of us have true "guardian angels" but to me this song is sort of like the angelic people with good intentions and a great heart full of love and compassion who are on earth here with us. |

She sticks around because she loves him and wants to fix things - that's how us women are. But there are only so many tears you can cry before it drains the light from your eyes.
