well now that rich is sober he came out and really explained the stroy behind the song on loveline, apparetnly rich was on a 3 day binge of drinking and had to fly out at 10 in the morning to make a show later that night, he passed out and in his sleep took of his clothes, the guy beside him actually poked him with a plastic knife to get him to stop.
he wrote the song as a tounge in cheek acount of it and the part about his father is a sarcastic shout to his dad who said he would never be famous.
the success only fuled rich's drinking showing that he could have drunken episodes, write songs about them, and cash in. |
