State Radio – Right Me Up Lyrics 18 years ago
Wait... Manny Ramirez? I can understand that they are Redsox fans... but where you've lost me is why Manny is listening to the game on a busted old radio. Fairly certain that A) He'd be playing or B) That he could afford something better. Also... if it's about him, then why are there all kinds of disabled references such as the cane or the chair. Also, kinda' sure that Manny wasn't around, ans very much not needing a chair, in '73. So, unless there is some other damning evidence... definitely not about Manny Ramirez. So again, I'm thinking ntuli is right.

Dispatch – Open Up Lyrics 18 years ago
"They were looking for me when I came to"

Not that I actually believe this, it's more that I would like to anger the anti religiousity people, but that could be Jesus. My biblical knowledge is a combination of television and that time I went to a concert in a church and read genesis, but I'm fairly certain there were folks (3 wise men) looking for Christ, and could came to mean "Came to the world"? I dunno. This kinda' just hit me in the shower at some point. If anyone has light to shed/theories to crush, lemme' know.

The drawer, me thinks, is the cash register. She's stickin' up the place.

Ummm, game set match: ntuli? That sounds pretty damn reasonable. Also, that's kinda' what I thought the song was about before hand, minus all of those supporting ideas/interviews.

Dispatch – Open Up Lyrics 19 years ago
First off, I would like to acknowledge that I am not religious per say. However, I believe that this song, among others could be tied in with religion. Could be, that is. Furthermore, saying every theory about this song dealing with Christ is wrong because it bores you (shinemyshoes), because it's shallow (armynavy911) or because you hate religion (Pratticus) is just straight up silly. So you hate religion, fine. Doesn't make it wrong. The same with boredom. And if you think that Dispatch wouldn't be "Shallow" enough to write a religious song, you may want to listen to Past the Falls. Furthermore, what I hate, and more so I find shallow, is people who are intolerant to other ideas, especially when they ask us to listen to theirs.

On another note: Brad IS very religious, so I would suggest refraining from looking like an idiot next time you decide to attack someone.
