I think in the first stanza he makes a noteworthy philosophical point. With the lines "His intentions are clear, he wanna be well-liked" and "Is it better to be better than to be anything?" he seems to be talking about the difference between doing things for their own sake, or doing them to impress or attract others. He seems to be asking "Are you better off trying to outdo others or achieving things of objective value?" |
