I believe its about taking drugs to encourage the "wandering of the mind", open-mindedness, and creativity. The line "filling the cracks that ran through the door" could be a reference to "The Doors of Perception", as Aldous Huxley is one of the famous people pictured on the cover. |

thagunk, I agree with you. I've been wondering whether it was known at that time that George W, was going to run in some future election. (And whether this would have even been information that Shannon was likely to know).
