Am I the only one who gets the picture of angels?
The song is all about the will to death and Frusciante speaks of things that people think are lies but he has seen them. Also he says they are formless and beat pain, but I don't know its just what the song conjures for me I guess |

I think this song is about drug addiction. It's also obviously about a girl, the fairy he refers to, but this relationship is mixed up with drugs. It says take away the tourniquet so AK is saying that he needs to see his girl when she's not on heroin so he can see something 'that i never knew in your eyes'. Also maybe to start their relationship was good but now they are both on drugs its not, I'm sure Scar Tissue talks of one of AK's relationships that is like that but I can't recall the girl's name
Also another random point but in an interview AK said he didn't think young people particularly liked this song as they don't get it, but I love it! It's very powerful and I think one of the best on SA |
