Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines as KillMeFaster with the fans thing when I first heard it. ^^0 It actually made me feel kinda guilty. x'D But then I reasoned that there was probably one stalker in particular, and now all you guys have confirmed it! Thank you very much! |

Umm...some random guesses at the prostitute "virgin"'s life story. There's obviously a recurring Catholicism theme, and then the Sound of Music reference, so those would be things that had given her hope when she was younger, and at some point, she had to become a prostitute and she gave up on them. The renouncing of God was in the title, and then there is the announcement that there ARE no raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses (no virgins left on the planet, by the way, methinks). Oh, and I do think that she is the protagonist of this little tale, despite the lyrics about her being sarcastic. The lyrics about everybody are sarcastic. xD
Besides the boohoo for her, I think it's trying to show that there ish no purity left in the world...Yeah...xP (Please dun hurt meh...) |

*wonders why this song is on here if we all know what the lyrics mean*
Ah, well, might as well try to sound intelligent...Ahem..."This Is Halloween" was used in The Nightmare Before Christmas to show the setting of Halloween Town and establish the Rules of the World, along with "Jack's Lament", which introduced us to the driving force and tragic flaw of the protagonist. =^.^=

Um...I thought it was "the mechanical lights of this world"...
*hides* B-b-but I could be wrong...That's just what it said in the lyric book...A misprint, perhaps? |
