yeah it does sound abit like Music or the Misery for the first 4 beats or so. & apparently yes Pete does speak fast. haha. (first line) from what i see it's like saying that they are getting sick and tired of doing this whole showbiz thing such as getting the red carpet blues. ('But the only ring I want buried with me are the ones around my eyes') but they just can't seem to stop and would have to continue this for life. also, about how Pete keeps contemplating and regretting on his past relationships as seen more on IOH. the chorus im not too sure too but maybe it's about surrendering to something that is not robbing you or your money and such but maybe robbing your emotions so 'dont get the wrong idea, we'r gona shoot you' could mean that they wouldn't directly kill by shooting you but by dying emotionally and slowly inside. that's just what i can infer? i think i talk too much. haha. |

'Some nights, they get so bad You almost pick up the phone' could this mean that it gets so bad and like pete's way of saying how he gets so lonely and isolated that he actually has the urge of picking up the phone and giving his ex girlfriend a call or something? 'Figured I'm not figuring myself out' would be about how he always seems to be putting her down in his songs and saying that he is better off without her but yet at times he feels he needs her so he doesn't know too what he wants. well, that's just me with what i think.(: anyone else care to elaborate the rest? ha. |

i think the part 'I'm boring but overcompensate with Headlines and flash flash flash photograpy' probably means like mentioned that they are pretty boring actually but they do make headlines. like that pete bathroom incident, perhaps that could relate to the 'flash flash flash photography' & it could be a pretty heavy price to pay for making headlines. then again its just me. this song is way cool(: cant wait for Infinity On High! |
