Alice Cooper – Eat Some More (Taste the Pain) Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeh it's more about how we who have all the luxuries of food delivered to our supermarkets are wasting it while people in Africa for example still die of starvation while the "garbage dumps are mountains high". We waste it, we throw away so much, if it's left to go out of date or just don't fancy it anymore then it's ok, just toss it out, we can always get more.
There's also the parts wheere he sings "we're not happy till we're choking.....we're so hungry so pathetic"
We want everythin, we want different foods, different cuisine, everything we can get and moan if we don't get it while there are people in the world that struggle to get bread, meat and water at the very least

Killing Joke – The Death And Resurrection Show Lyrics 18 years ago
The song sounds like it's about religion in general. Jaz Coleman as far as I'm aware isn't quite your average religious guy, didn't he go off to Iceland at one point to hide from the Apocalypse? I think he's talking about religion in general and how we make up lies to fool ourselves and other people into believing that there is a place we can go after living here on Earth. But there isn't, there just us, we die, and life goes on without us.
Maybe that's why it's called "The Death and Resurrection Show"? Because it's all just a show for humanity? To trick them into believeing this?
"Who will you turn to?" Which religion will you pick? From Eygptians to the Christians, they all say the same stuff in his eyes. Resurection and an afterlife etc
Maybe that's why Ezekiel's chariot's is pluralised, from what I've looked up, Ezekiel's chariot is the name given to thhe throne of God whcih Ezekiel saw in two visions, but pluralising it makes it less about one God and more about the many that we believe in, or choose to create.
The same with the tribal religion at the beginning, the old beliefs that we would come back as a new person or animal.
But he believes we don't. "Everything I've learned, the fire shall burn" at the end, when you die, that's it. There is simply no more you.

Although I can't quite figure out what he means by "the lights go out" whether it's about dying or the end of the world proper, as in the Apocalypse.
Well, they're my thoughts. Correct me if I'm wrong hehe

Gogol Bordello – Avenue B Lyrics 18 years ago
Whenever I hear this song it I can help but focus on the line
"Nobody learn no nothing from no history"
It seems that mistakes are getting repeated, everyone's arguing. Like seliing equipment to rebels, mistakes like that made by little girls (if Sally is that little innocent girl which is what I think she represents as opposed to actually being a person)
Also, the influence of other cultures on her, the Western world, complete strangers but they're affecting them still
Just my thoughts

Status Quo – Pictures Of Matchstick Men Lyrics 18 years ago
So this is now "songs I love love to moan about.net" hmmm? Either post what you think about the meaning of the song or don't bother posting? Why come on here and moan about a song you don't like where others come on here to see what people have to say about the meanings cause maybe they listened and liked the song.
So fuck off.
