to me, The Rain Song, and The Song Remains the Same.. are beautiful masterpieces, the best zep songs ever.. and their my favorite band.. the part where he sings "i felt the coldest of my winters, and never thought it would ever thaw" and with the big chord progression in the background and the way plant sings it, i swear i could listen to that over and over again. plant quoted it was his best vocal preformance of his career.. AMAZING SONG |

theres is no way it is about plant or bonhams wife, there is a song with the exact same title (its a way old blues song) by sleepy john Estes, with the exact same lyrics. and since zep modified a lot of old blues tunes, there is no doubt at all that this is another blues cover. |

one word, masterpiece.. and your right they did get a lot into the indian music, like kashmir and friends and so fourth. they also did some country, and a lot of old blues, and "down by the seaside" was islandy with the tremalo pedals and slide riffs.. but the song remains the same is one of my favorites!! |

| Green Day – Holiday Lyrics

green day isnt really that good if you think about it. everyone loves them, but the makeup thing is kind of weird, and if your a guitarist who knows a little bit about anything that has to do with songwriting, like 5 power chords and no (improsvised) solo to make up a song.. that kinda sucks.. watch joe satriani or steve vai play the guitar, jimmy page, kirk hammet, or even somebody like angus young, watch them pick, billie joe couldnt do that to save his life!! but everybody is entitled to their opinion |

i try to listen to all music, and this is sort of like a country/hodown and almost like a bluegrass/blues feel but not really. i love this song, i love the intro and the courus, this is the kind of stuff plant loved. zeppelin has a wide veriety of music and this is yet another one of those songs, its great, i love it. |
