What!? That's one of the most ridiculous posts I've ever heard. I also find it interesting that you say it hiding behind the comfort of your computer. You don't like that metal bands sing about angst and darkness? Come on, what band doesn't sing about that. Plus, just because we listen to music that's too intense for you to handle doesn't mean we're a bunch of freaks. Do you have a problem with everyone who watches horror movies? In fact, I am a fan of metal, but I still go to school and am dual majoring in two languages. Want me to translate my post into Latin for you? What they sing about isn't always serious. Just because you're too immature to understand the humor doesn't mean that they are weird, it just means that you haven't developed the ability to think beyond a linear and literal way. I'm not trying to turn this forum into a therapy session or anything haha, but hearing what all of you had to say inspired me to share too. I'm a recovering drug addict and have about eight months of sobriety, and I can remember feeling just how this song describes when I was at the lowest point of my addiction. I was placed in a behavioral hospital after I tried to overdose, and I just felt really empty inside. They didn't really try to change me that much, I was just there until they could find a rehab to put me in, but i remember thinking how can these people know what's best for me? I guess i want to thank everyone who shared their stories before me, for giving me the courage to share too. This has actually meant a lot to me. |

I really hope you're being sarcastic here because you're completely wrong. Kurt liked a pretty good amount of rap. He was a fan of what are now older rap groups like Notorious B.I.G., Public Enemy, and NWA. Kurt and pretty much the entire grunge movement was about being yourself and not having to conform to musical standards like you seem to do. And besides, you used the word "faggot" to insult someone. That's pretty pathetic if you ask me. And muddyfrogwater, if you think you are anything close to a Nirvana fan, then you would hate EVERYTHING ABOUT MUSIC_WHORE.
