I think this song is about two people who were very close friends. And even though they were perfect for one another, they never tried to be together for the sake of their friendship. They had strong feelings for eachother and that's obvious because he can't let go of her after trying his best to do so. Most likely their feelings about the situation are the same and because this is about a love that never had a chance to grow, then in time it will. When she realizes how deep his love was for her in the first place compared to everyone else she had tried to be with. It hurts relating to this song. |
