The meaning of this song is self-evident. But this song is absolutely beautiful. It is a perfect example of Nate's genius lyrical abilities. I'm not sure if I have heard a more sincere song in my life. |

i think this song is told in the first person perspective of some children who had a mother who did so much to try and help them live a good life, but the kids are not appreciative until they look back and think about waht she did for them. |

i agree with you guys 100%. no one should fight if they dont want to. but that's just not the way it is. i do believe he should have been able to stop fighting when he wanted to, that's not how it is. since that's not how it is, i think he should hung in there and not given up. |

i know im about to make some people mad with what im about to write, but this is my opinion. before i say this, i want it to be known that i am a big fan of chad and everything he does. i love state radio and LOVE dispatch, i'll even go as far as to say that this is one of my favorite songs of state radio. but when i researched the meaning behind camilo, i was disapointed. i am no fan of war and am not necessarily for or against war, but what camilo did was outright cowardly. he left the army because he didnt feel like doing it any more because he didnt believe in it. well he shouldnt have joined the army. he knew what he was getting into. he might not have liked it but he shouldnt have run. i know a lot of people who dont like their jobs, but just because they dont like doesnt mean they just stop going and run. now i know this is alot different considering people were dying and stuff, but what did he expect when he joined the army. i hope he didnt think that he would never go to war and never deal with death. that is just my opinion. dont get mad at me. i think everyone is entitled to an opinion. |

you guys are stupid, every single one of you. the song is clearly about a girlfreind the singer had. they went to Africa on vacation and she was bitten by a poisonous cactus. Hr ghost comes back to remind him of what a douchebag his mother-in-law is. the singer eventually gets tired of he haunting and renames his dog "turd-sandwhich." you are all taking his songs way too literal. you gotta think DEEP. |

i agree with shfalco about the song being about slavery. especially the line talking about how he fits the description of a criminal and that is his flaw. thats like saying "you are the same color as a slave and thats your flaw." |

I love this song because it is almost like he stole the words out of my mouth about a relationship i had last summer. i was real bummed out but it's nice to see that a really cool guy like ben can relate to me. |
