To be honest guys, I don't think it's really aobut suicide much at all, but love. He says "what I used to be will pass away and then you'll see that all I want now is happiness for you and me" I think he means that once she accepts him for his new self and not what "he used to be" then shel'l realize that all he wants for them both is happiness in their life.
