Hi Philadelpia Eagles. :) I'm a Christian, so as an ignorant fundamentalist self-righteous asshole, I feel it is my duty to inform you that in his earlier years, John Lennon DID hate his mother. It *may* have something to do with the fact that she gave him up when he was about five years old, and that he never saw her most of the time. He also loved his mother. He hated her and he loved her. But somehow I doubt you can wrap your head around that concept because YOU didn't have a childhood as troubled as John Lennon's, did you? You can't understand the bittersweet angst of having a mother who abandoned you, whom your aunt tries to keep you away from, only for you to find years later that she only lives a couple of miles away, and yet she never visits you. You long for her, and yet you wish she would just grow up and be there for you, take care of you. YES, JOHN LENNON HATED HIS MOTHER. Almost every kid hates their parents for much less, and they all grow out of it. He did, too, and fortunately, wrote a very touching tribute to her. On behalf of all the people you seem to hate so much (*cough*, all you need is love, *cough*), have a very nice day. |

Okay, for all of you that are 100% positive that Paul is dead....to the extent that you'd call it "rubbish" and "stupid", please refer to the pre-1967 and post-1967 pictures of Paul on this website: http://www.geocities.com/~beatleboy1/kyear.html It seems Paul McCartney has the ability of no man before him: to switch the direction his hair parts from! It is IMPOSSIBLE to change the parting of your hair, and even if you could, you'd at least have to shave your head bald before doing it. Paul McCartney has never shaved his head. This is a different man using the Paul McCartney name. |

| Actually, not only would Lennon probably have forgiven him, he might have thanked him too. Research Lennon's life (I highly recommend "The Lives of John Lennon" by Albert Goldman) and you'll find that he lived in fear of a "karmic destiny" that would result in a painful, violent death. That, and he often fantasized about what it would feel like to be shot. It's a horrible thought, but as he lay dying on an ambulance stretcher parked in front of The Dakota, he may have felt relief mixed in with his suffering. Relief that it was all over. | |
