this song is cool. not my favorite my chem song, but cool.
"We can wash down this engagement ring
With poison and kerosene.
We'll laugh as we die."
Thats my favorite line. i write it a lot and sometimes sing it when i'm bored cuz it replays in my head. That is, i sing until my friends turn to me with a look on their faces like 'wtf are you singing and why?". Then i stop and start again a few minutes later. 0=D |

um, some of you say it's about being gay, some of you say it's about his brother, and some of you just hate it. Wow. Well it actually is written about a fight Isaac got in with his brother Caleb, who's nickname is Cable Car. I read it online somewhere. Anywho, i guess it means different stuff to different people. O, and no offense but Isaac's voice is a bit like he's whining. |

For some reason I keep thinking this song is about a girl cheating on him and he knows and maybe she knows he does too, but it's left up to him to say something. Either that or the girl just broke up with the ex and went to him and he's wondering is this girl in love with me or him? (or visa versa). That's just me, and it's definitly possible that i'm wrong. o well. AAR is still cool. =] |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – The Fantasy Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
Okay, why are we even talking religion? I wanna talk song meaning and about the band. Personally, I think that this song is sort of about losing yourself to your fantasies. You forget your fear, any pain, and everything else. All you want to do is go after that fantasy.
I am a machine
No longer living
Just a shell of what i dream.
I think this means that they are so focused on their dreams. Their body is no longer an object, it can no longer feel and no longer lives for anything other than chasing after that dream, and they want to get their at all costs. The body is just a tool, a vessel to get to our dreams and fantasies. Our soul and mind leads us off to following the dream, sometimes whether the body wants to or not.
Then again, that's what i think of. I could be utterly completely wrong. Just please don't be too hard on me if this makes no sense. =] |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – I'll Attack Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
First off, my vote is for the relationship one. I think it is about a relationship especially when he says "Without you I can finally say" and "I am finally free". this kinda says that in the relationship she kinda held him back and now he can be free and go crazy.
Second off, i agree with Ize. Jared' hair definitely looks better in the video for The Kill.
Lastly, you guys know that this song is called "Attack", not "I'll Attack", right? These lyrics are posted on here twice.

I just tried having my two friends listen to this. One of my friends (a girl) had to listen to it twice to figure out what it was about. My other friend (a guy) got it after hearing it only once. He's sitting there like "Why do i think this means that he's doing something while he's by himself?" The lightbulb went off in my other friend's head after that. lol. |

My one friend is the biggest music fan alongside me and my friends, and he didn't know what Madina Lake was. I felt so ahead of him. Anyway, please tell me how to get my hands on the CD! I want it so badly. Madina Lake is totally gonna be HUGE. |

I cant help but love this song. It can be simply interpretted or complexly interpretted, but either way it totally rules. I love the screaming, very cool. I love the whispering, SO awesome. Gerard is so cool. He rocks. His voice is totally hypnotic. I actually believe he'll protect me from vampires and other stuff (like society) now. ha! at least i'll never be afraid of horror movies now... :D lol. |

lil rocker99... heck yes that is confusing! you're gonna have that thought in my head for a month.
Anyway, it's a good song. Great beat, good statement. But i think the lyrics definetly leave something to be desired. They kinda just keep repeating the same thing over and over.
Still a great song! Green Day rules! |

You stopped listening because everyone else started? Okay, i admit, i've done that before too. But the craze never lasts. Everyone's like "O, I Love This Band!" and i'm like "Okay, i do too." and i actually like it. Then the next time i see the person and i start talking about that band they're like "What? You're still into them? They are so old." Then i see them again and they're like "It's the greatest band ever!!!" I know where you're coming from Leblanc, cuz i stopped liking the All-American Rejects cuz they got small, went big, whatever. But i do like them again now, and i'm sticking to it no matter what i hear in the music buzz. |

1) I never knew adrienne's nickname was adie and that's where the title came from.
2) This song is great. It reminds me of me. I drive everyone who knows me insane, but in a good way. I tend to make them think in different ways, the way my mind thinks.
3) Thank you lil rocker99 for pointing out that adrienne is billie joe's wife from 1995 and not his girlfriend. it was bugging me.
4) billie joe is happily married with two kids (their names are tattooed on his arm too). No one ever acknowledges Jacob and Joseph! Their dad is Billie Joe Armstrong, and yet no one ever mentions them. Thought that i would be the one to do so. |

I like this song mainly because it can be interpretted in so many different ways. It has a different meaning to everyone. The music video is really straight forward, too. It makes me want to become a vegetarian. It did make me more conscious of the problems in the environment though. |

I don't really like this song that much. It isn't the lyrics or anything, it's a good song. But i feel like it's one of the most overplayed songs. You know how it is, just too much of a good thing and you'll get tired of it. |

Thank gosh i found this. I've been searching forever for the lyrics to "Panic Song" (i always look up the lyrics before i decide if i'm gonna download a song. can't help it. i'm weird). I really wanted to see the lyrics to this song because i read that this song was the inspiration to the name of the band "Panic! at the Disco" and i'm starting to like Panic! at the Disco. When i heard that they got their inspiration for the name from this song i freaked out because Green Day is my favorite band. |

| Green Day – Warning Lyrics

Also, this song is amazing. I've always kinda noticed that EVERYTHING has a warning label these days! You can't do anything without there being a risk to it, and this kinda says, "Just go for it. Life's a risk worth taking."
The warning label stuff has gotten this insane: I was watching a commercial for a car, the one where they have it drive on the ledges of buildings. Then this appeared at the bottom of the screen:
"Yes this is a fantasy. Cars can't actually drive on buildings."
Who would try to drive a car on a building?!?!?! |

I thought it was "Down with the moral majority".
Anywho, yeah i think. it's like Speak up, or you're not gonna be doing what You wanna do. You're gonna be doing what everyone Else wants you to do.
Gotta speak out and be heard, or you'll end up being pushed over when your idea was probably best all along. |

No, i'm just saying they have gone so far as to not just insult the lyrics, but the band itself. How can they say that? Have they done their research? Do they truly know what the band's all about? Do they even know the opinions of the band? It just seems a little harsh to insult the band altogether and go so far as to say even the FANS of the band are stupid (which personally, i don't think I am). Go ahead and insult the song, maybe the lyrics, but give the band itself a chance and don't sterrotype the fans of the band as stupid. |

Okay, i just signed up here recently and i don't have patience to go through everyone, so let me say...
Those of you who think this stuff is trash and that Green Day is dumb, SCREW YOU!
For those of you arguing out the fact that Green Day rules and that they are totally awesome, thank you. I'm right there with you!
To be honest, the guys in Green Day care about the issues and are, in every likelihood, far more intelligent than the people who are insulting them. Green Day tries to "keep their eyes open and an ear to the ground", which is more than some of YOU can probably say. Green Day don't just sit there righting words on paper and adding music to it. They think about the lyrics they're writing, make sure it has a true meaning, and won't give anything to the fans that they wouldn't listen to themselves. They take pride in their music, and i truly respect that. They think about the issues and the world and the true meaning of their songs, and they won't put an album out there unless they're happy with it and confident in it themselves. They probably don't even care about critic's reviews.
By the way, all the anti-Green Day people, if you know so much about music why aren't YOU out there making music? If you are, i sincerely doubt it's as deep as this. |

I LOVE THIS SONG! i never gave a crap what anyone thought of me, and when i start to doubt myself and think "Maybe ther opinion is right after all..." i think of this song and think "Screw you! My opinion is my opinion, meaning it's right in my mind!". i hate it when people think ther opinion is the only AND the right opinion. it pisses me off. But Green Day, they are all GENIUSES!!! I want to be like them, outspoken, tough, a get-off-my-back screw-you attitude, while still payin attention to the issues. GREEN DAY WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!!!!! |
