This song is definitely about finding God. He was living his life out of control but then he crashed into God. I can't decide if the "crash" is figurative or literal. It of course could mean any bad experience that he had or it could mean that he was in an actual crash that should of killed him but God appeared to him and saved him. Either way he was captured by His grace and he couldn't walk away from Him. What he means by "your face and your eyes are burning to me" is that the face of God is impossible to see to a human but to trying to look is painful. This is an awesome song by Daughtry that actually takes a step away from all the cliche love songs. |

This song just sticks in my head. The lyrics are bizarre and I'm guessing they come from some kind of personal experience of kidnapping. It's not a very happy song but it's eye-opening on how scarry kidnapping is. I kind of agree that maybe the kidnapper is the father because of the line about it being a broken home. But then again it sounds like a serial kidnapper because of the "all these lives that you've been taking." |

| This song is amazing. He left everything he knew in his hometown to try to have some fun but then he gets homesick. I'm sure this song hits home to anyone who has ever moved away from their hometown. I'm guessing more-so to people that are from small towns such as myself because a small town is so different from the rest of the busy world. | |

I agree with mcphee on this one. It sounds to me like he wants to lay down with his girl and take her there and back again. I don't think this song is as good as the slower songs but it's still good. |
