if you don't like it, what are you doing looking at the lyrics and reading other peoples' comments? everyone's entitled to their own opinion (including you of course) but there's really no need to be rude. i adore this song, it really seems to reflect real life, i can't stop listening to it! i was lucky enough to see them live last week when they supported all american rejects in glasgow; sadly i didn't really know their songs that well but now i'm hooked! i can't wait for the uk album release... i love you hellogoodbye. |

| this is a separate song, although on the album it does seem like part of Blue Picadilly, but when i saw them live they played it after something different; Blue Picadilly was played last. | |

personally, i think that the guy has a girlfriend, and they have been together for quite a while, but he is beginning to question whether or not she is the right one for him: "You begin to wonder Could you find a better one Compared to her now She's in question" He is wondering if maybe he should look for someone else: "Looking for the right one You line up the world to find" Perhaps she was his first girlfriend, and they fell completely in love, but now he is thinking that he should have dated other people before settling down? He has broken up with her because of this: "But she won't keep on waiting for You without a doubt" I think that the line "Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same" means that he wants to look around for the perfect girl, when she is the one who he was with all along. The right thing for him will be to realise this and go back to her, but it will be hard for him to admit this to her. He has been comparing her to "someone not there" - he thinks she is not the one he ultimately wants, but the 'perfect woman' he has left her to seek doesn't really exist. He's running from her because their relationship doesn't seem perfect: "Perfection will not come", yet it is unlikely that he will ever find something better than this. The last lines, "Maybe you had her/Maybe you lost her to another/To another" could refer to how he couldn't be satisfied with her, even though she is the one he needs and wants, and so he left her... and she moved on. But now he wants her back, and can't have her. Maybe i'm completely wrong but that's just my opinion! Sorry - i really didn't intend to write so much! |

i agree with RibbonOnMyWrist, i always thought it was "we'll dance inside the sun", not song, but maybe that's just me... it really is a beautiful song. |
