| I think that they are mocking this "cold" world. I got a phone call from the lord saying ,"hey boy put a sweater on". Yet he's sitting in the SPA! getting coated with molasses, drinking coca cola (maybe alcohol and partying?). Maybe they are partying in this "cold world" saying "fuck you, I hate you too". Getting "dressed up"/"shaking hands with the masses"--its like we all put on some kind of mask. | |

| I have no idea what this song is "actually" about, but sometimes i don't think the original intent really matters. I recently discovered my fiance was a heroin addict....this song.....reminds me of him. Dramamine, to me references the nausea i feel. "You killed the better part of me..If you could just milk it for everything" somehow i feel like my fiance would use me for everything, including my weaknesses...anything that would make him "feel" better. "You say what you need so you'll get more" He would LIE! even to himself, so he'd "get more"....I still can't focus on anything....in my life for that matter...to me, "dramamine" refers to the nausea of heartache.. | |

I think the song is going from macro level to micro level--the world at large and one person within that world, who is trying to change it. "The Great Curve" is a metaphor for "mother earth", the earth being round and large (hence 'great'). It is also a metaphor for a woman (the great curve) that is trying to make a GREAT change? (maybe a girl byrne knows and respects) The world is here but it's out of reach Some people touch it...but they can't hold on. (some people attempt to make a change to the world, but it is a BIG job..ya know?) altho.. "The world moves on a womans hips The world moves and it swivels and bops" (this girl is making an attempt to change the world so the 'world' will move to her). It is like she is dancing to the world but taking a risk-"Hands that move her are invisible". Think about a natural disaster?!! that makes you realize how little power we have over the GREAT curve.. i'm not sure what the heck the song really means, but that is what it makes me think of? |

| i think pink robots = cancer and the whole cd is based on yoshimi and coping with it. the whole album slowly progresses from start to finish...leading up to "all we have is now" and the final song being instrumental. I think it is beautiful, but let me know what you think? concept album or not? | |
