i Just went to Phils concert i actually met him! omg it was awesome. his music is so moving. i can't believe no one has commented. he's such a moving person. wow i cant even describe his music well im pretty sure this song is about waiting for Jesus waiting for him to come and how he wants only him and hes "calling for you" beautiful.. |

i . love. this. song its beautiful wow. the meaning.... hmm... very complicated... well im thinking its about a guy whose looking at this girl and maybe he sees her as raindrops because..she's jst so perfect..(well that might not make sense but i see it as raindrops are perfect. haha) ok or maybe he's looking at her. and he realizes that she's practically invisible. no one sees her. she's just a raindrop falling from the sky. idk but the part where he says "And live like you sink through The streets that you fall on The cars that slip on you" just gives me the idea that the streets and cars are a lot more important than the stupid little raindrops they run into. ya kno?. well maybe im not making any sense.. idk i just thought i should pitch in on the meaning for punkkid6312 bc i dont get it that much either..just my thoughs. |

its about her telling this guy who just walked into her life and he wouldnt leave her alone and finally she just fell for him. Then she didnt want him to go she needed him and she didnt care how many times they fought cuz they would always "make up" so pretty much she wanted someone to show her what love is all about. and she wanted him to do it. ..just my perspective =D |

First comment? i love this band. all their songs! this song is awesome. especially the part thats 3:03 into the song. i'ts just so beautiful i think its about a boy and girl. they're in a relationship. and basically. they're so happy together they couldnl't ask for more. they couldn't get anything ore out of the relationshp than they already have. "we're on top of the world" meaning they're so content. they couldn't ask for more. i think i already said that oh wellz i dont know thats just how i see this song. |

I think it's about a guy who's trying to get this girl to tell him something. something as in a secret.....gasp i so smart! haha ok so he's telling her that he wants to be "someone you can count on. trust." he's telling her. why not? i've always been for you *i've always stood by your side* so either she does...and i think she does. but hes all ok. my lips are sealed. i wont tell and how things will get better. things will change. in a good way. because he's saying the silence will soon fade away.. i love this song ok that was just my interpretation. |

Ok my interpretation is that this guy is terrified. i think he's realizing that his girl may just break up with him because she doesn't love him but hes makaing this plan to fake his own suicide. Because if someone dies of course they'll be sad. he wants her to realize that she DOES love him. and then he'll come out and say that he was just pretending. He's scared. he doesnt want to be depressed when she lets him go. he needs and does love her. and so if he "dies" she'll be depressed instead. Even though this band is a christian band. and don't get me wrong i love this band and i have for years. but i just dont see this song as being seen with a connection with christ. i think its a relationship of a boy and girl. Because why would they talk about jesus faking his suicide...this song clearly states for one person to realize she loves him. but jesus did it for everyone. thanks indiaisaprincess :) |

Yeah i agree with taylorkay. i love the beginning how its just the main tune carrying you. and.. i loove the part where he goes "can you feel it" just like bigpkl001 but dont you think that if the "medication" metaphore was to be compared to love....he wouldn't put MY infront of it...i dont know i just think he would put OUR medication. unless of course she doesnt feel like him..who knows.. |
