| Regina Spektor – Hell No (with Sondre Lerche) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It's a cute song, and an effective duet... But I feel it restricts Regina a bit. I bet if she wrote it by herself it would have better lyrics... but I guess it's good she is doing some slightly different stuff too. Still, it's very catchy and Sondre Lerche (whom I have never heard of before) has a nice voice that compliments Regina's =] |

| Regina Spektor – My Dear Acquaintance (A Happy New Year) (Peggy Lee cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i hate to spoil what some might think is a happy mood...but i sense a bit of sarcasm here, especially with the sound effects of police sirens and gunshots | |
| Regina Spektor – Marry Ann Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
When you think about it, how can anyone be so terribly perfect and obsessive compulsive without being slightly mental and sick? I think it was only too long before Mary Ann was going to do something like murdering her husband, by the way Regina was describing her. And I think the sneeze represents something that Mary Ann didn't plan thoroughly like everything else in her life, and it all goes downhill from there for her... |

| Emilíana Torrini – Gollum's Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is a song that I think takes a lot of people a while to get used to and appreciate it (unfortunately). I think this song is trying to get the audience to feel sympathy for gollum/smeagol, which is what he deserves, really. He is the tragic hero in the story when you think about it. If it wasn't for him, Middle Earth would have remained in darkness, and he also saved Frodo from ending up like him. A great tribute to gollum/smeagol, and emiliana torrini's voice is perfect to convey the emotion. |

| Regina Spektor – Man of a Thousand Faces Lyrics | 18 years ago |

oh, and also "now im crying for things I tell others to do without crying" not "now i'm crying with insight..." sorry about all the corrections, I can't help it =] |

| Regina Spektor – Man of a Thousand Faces Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think the line is "It's not a path to enlightment", not "he's found a path to her likeness" | |
| Regina Spektor – One More Time with Feeling Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think this song is about being hospitalised, hence the "helium balloons", "flickering lights" and "standing all around you holding copies of your charts" It's saying to "hold on" and "this is why we fight", meaning this is why we fight to stay alive |
