| Matchbox Twenty – Unwell Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The singer is suffering from a mental disorder. He realizes that he isn't the same as those around him, which worries him. He is trying hard to communicate to the people around him that while he is 'unwell,' he is not crazy like they all think he is. |

I believe the song is about how she can change herself to suit his needs without losing her true essence. She can add and remove some of her 'flavouring,' yet she is still 'soda' underneath. She realises that while she is molding herself to be more lovable in the eyes of her lover, she will not change herself into something she isn't. |

| I think in this song she's talking about how other people react towards miscarriage. How some people will hear about it and try to top it, while others will be sympathetic, and how finally, some will entirely brush the incident off as "nothing." | |

To me, the song is twisted, not just because he's killed his wife, but because he is shamelessly making his daughter an accomplice to murder. While he sounds like a loving and caring father, I think that by having his daughter help him clean up afterwards does not make him a loving parent. In the afterglow of the murder, he is thinking about the long term reprecussions of his actions: "There's a place called heaven and a place called hell, A place called prison and a place called jail, And da-da's probably on his way to all of 'em except one." However, he isn't thinking about the long term effect this is going to have on his little girl. Eventually she is going to learn what happened, and then how is she going to feel? How is she going to have a normal life knowing what her father has done not only to her mother, but to herself as well? Don't get me started on his wife... |

"Is it God's...is it your's?" After I lost my child, that line really stung because I asked that same question. |

| Tori Amos – Spark Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I believe that "6:58 are you sure where my spark is" refers literally to what time it was when she realized she was losing her child. | |
| The Spill Canvas – All Hail The Heartbreaker Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Wow, I got a completely different vibe from this song. To me, he sounds especially bitter and vindictive - especially during the last couple of lines. | |
| Tori Amos – Ribbons Undone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think that the song is about parents watching their child grow up right in front of their eyes. | |
| Tori Amos – Liquid Diamonds Lyrics | 19 years ago |

The song is about her miscarriage. Not everyone thinks that you are a mother unless you give birth/adopt/whatnot. However, in this song she is dealing with how her own soul is attached to that of her dead daughter's. Also, how she is still a mother, even though her child is not physically with her. "Calling for my soul at the corners of the world. I know she's playing poker with the rest of the stragglers." |
