Im a fan of Andre 3000 (not so much Outkast, but Andre is truly talented) and what i find really interesting is that in the original Andre says: "Y'all don't want me here you just wanna dance" Meaning that no one really cares about what he was trying to say in the song.... until Mat Weddle did this cover. I think reason this cover is so brilliant is because Andre 3000 is a genius. Great song. |

*sigh* I guess most of you dont know that their over-produced, unoriginal, probaly lip-synced music is pretty crappy in my opinion. Personally, i hate them. I dont think they are musicians AT ALL, and the only reason they're IN music buisness is because they display casual and unrestrained sexual behavior through their lyrics, their dances and pretty much any musical value. Its all ruined by sex. Its not about music, you people, its about being horny fucks. Why do you think people like them? If its for their *cough* music, then they dont understand what music IS. To most pop-culture today, music is the organization of sounds with some degree of rhythm, melody, and harmony. MUSIC is soul. MUSIC is feeling. If we locked them in a room and made them listen to REAL musicians like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Ramones, The Byrds, The Association, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, The Lovin Spoonful, NIRVANA EVEN! Heck, STEVIE WONDER. They're lyrical and musical genius's, and if they knew what the fuck they were making, they'd be kicking their own asses. I can just see Grandmaster Flash cutting himself over this shit. For those of who dont know who Granmaster Flash is, you shouldnt call yourself a Hip-Hop/rap lover, because he is the God od hip-hop and rap. I want to ask. What the hell do you see in this shit? |

I think it is about how a person or group of persons cannot overcome an obstacle (whatever it may be) and it is basically dragging them down to the dirt. I think it about how they/he/she are finally able to "break the chains" and he "will believe" and "Overcome" I dont know. Just my opinion. Good song. And yes, xLajnusen, it could have something to do with religious beliefs. |
