| He is talking about communism when he says "Imagine no possessions...", staight to the point he has a communist in ideal but i think if we all understood the point of comunism we would agree it is the best form of goverment or rather anarcy as there in reallity there should be no goverment, but there is many unresvoled things in communism, that is why it has failled every time also there has never been relly communism, also the same for religion even though they promote peace they cause differents in people and that in turn causes hate, that causes divide which put the world in which it is in now with nationtions and all. and also look at the wars in histoiry almost all of them can be linked to religion (not quite all but most). lennon wrote this song about communism but it is too simple to work, because humans are not perfect and some one would always ruin the system, even if they were trying only to help, well anyways enough about communism, this song is great one of the best of lennons, very simple. also David Champen didn't know what he was doing when he shot Lennon, so try not to hate him i am sure that lennon would have forgiven him find the plave in your heart to do the same | |

You said to me "I have an appointment (could be a date but rather just i have to go) in a underground (could be basement or prison) with fools Who live guitar-in-hand from dusk till dawn" Then I accompanied(came with you) you, we sang, we danced and we didn't even think of embracing(kissing) the orginal continues Yesterday evening two unknowns(two people who didn't know each other) and this morning on the avenue Two lovers dazed by the long night And to the Star to the Concord(places on the champ-Elysees west to east), an orchestra with thousand cords All the birds at day-break singing for the love this is a great song in orginal and NOFX versoin, though i must say i like the Joe Dassin version better (in general i like the orginal better than the cover) but NOFX did a great job, it is funny how easily you can hear the americain accent, i am americain (right now i am spending a year in france) so i must sound the same, i can understand them easily enough but it is very different than how it is supposes to be said. anywas great job NOFX even though i am not a fan of yours you deserve credit for this song |
