Okay, I'm gonna retract what I said earlier, although I still had reasons to support what I said I didn't resort to childish insults without any backing reasons.
Anyway, i still don't really groove to this song like I do their others, yet, I do agree with the lyrics. The lyrics are not about the Iraq war, nor are they political. They are about us. Right now. pointing fingers at each other and using words such pussy and asshole.
I am a good deal to the left, and avenged is rather to the right, but there is a compromise here. What avenged is saying is that all the people who are left and right are constantly trashing each other while there are kids dying at war. See, we're all here right now being assholes to each other because of our differences. What we need to do is come together and understand each other. And if you don't believe this is what the song about, go on the fuse website and click on the link to steven's untitled rock show. Watch the interview with avenged sevenfold. They even clearly state the song is not political. |

ha glumatis thats the best dis you can come up with calling me stupid. I've 3 year olds that shit their pants come up with better attacks than that. Anyway I said "sound" not "act" and I explained it, it was a comparison to the fact that they have become "the band that shoves views down peoples throats" that they said they never do in songs. Just listen to blinded in chains. They admit being right wing in it, but they diss both sides and offer two sides to the spectrum instead of just yelling fuck you and at the some 70% america that disagree with bush. So gluatimis do yourself and america a favor and go back to 1st grade and learn to read. |

I'm not too crazy about this song. I'm not saying it sucks or anything. I'm not really into the red state southern metal concept, even tho i believe their from Cali, maybe I'm wrong. But this is how this song sounds to me. They kinda lost their punk groove that they had in the past. And lyrically I can't really groove to the lyrics because they don't make sense to me, he's dissing protesters but then gloryfying himself for not being afraid to piss people off. Making his word some sort of gospel. I understand how their trying to support soldiers and their country and that's awesome and all but this song they sound like a bunch of frickin' nazis. I like how their older songs like blinded in chains were when they saw both sides, even though they were republican. But hey thats, just me who knows maybe this song will grow on me. |

I think this is Korn being somewhat political without trying to sound like politicians. Pretty much we that we ruin the world more than any other species and we fighting a war and killing each over material possesions; which is much worse than monkeys having shit fights at the zoo. Basically, it concerns the de-evolution of man that just may be occuring. |

TrueRock is probably right it seems like he has a good interpretation. my initial is probably wrong but i was under the impression that the character in the song is hooking up with a girl thats like a serial killer or something."second best killer," "kicked the boy till he bled". but i think truerock's is probably more accurate. |

I agree with conan 100%. It's pretty obvious that the song is sympathizing those who fight in the military but at the same time passively questions the goverment. Basically stating the morality questions that may go through a soldier's head.
And not to be offensive at all by I'm so sick of assholes using the term "hippy liberal" in an offensive way. shut the fuck up. I'm antiwar because i believe we're losing the lives of too many soldiers and my cousin did 14 months in Iraq. He went door to door with shotguns and everything. He is my hero. That is why I'm antiwar. Because he told me what its like, he told me what it was like the day that his best friend from high school died. He told me what it was like to kill someone. He told me why he had to go through therapy. He was the one that caused me to conclude why war is wrong. This is why war is wrong. It ruins lives. So shut up with mass murder antics and start thinking sensibly. |

i believe this album, like most other great concept albums by frank zappa, queen, rush, etc. and recently green day manages to make a powerful political statement but at the same time have strong songwriting and stay consistant with the plot |

I like this song. Even though I know it's mostly about morning a death, i still laugh because it reminds me of necrophilia.
p.s. there's no need for racist comments. |

i think tony's point in this song is to show how he learned that racism was wrong and thats the reason he stopped playing drums in confederate storm which was a racist punk band. Leaving the band got him into many fights like in american history x which he compares his life too. good song, awesome message. |

does anyone see this as being about the fight club. the video has footage from it and lyrics reflect edward norton's character's problems between the girl and "tyler durden"(i dont want to spoil the movie). not to mention they put (cut from the team) in the title representing the blood bruises and scars they would have to walk to school after going to the fight club the night before. |
