Besides the literal meaning of bathroom preferences this song is about wanting to do your own thing in the world rather than taking part in "pissing contests" - competitions of ego to see who is most manly. It fits the album because their music is totally different than last time and they tend to take the piss out of themselves (no pun intended) eg I like your old stuff better than you new stuff

at falls festival phil gave the story to this song...i was rather drunken lol but the jist of it was they were going to score weed and happened to notice this roadkill cat on the freeway "down the centre of a highway line"...
