This song is about drug addiction and other things that will harm you in life, seen from the perspective of the drug, the man taking it, and a man who is giving advice because he has already experienced it. Man effected by drug: "If there was a single day I could live, a single breath I could take, I'd trade all the others away." - He is saying that he has been permanently scarred by the drug and wishes he could have one day were he was normal again. The drug: "I'll make all your dreams come to life And slay them as quickly as they came." - Saying that once you have used the drug it will be amazing but afterwards the effects will be horrible and damage your brain. Man giving advice: "Lay this to rest console yourself you're better alone destroy yourself. well its a simple song really...like most of them...this meaning of the song is straightforward.... 1st verse....basicly is stating of a girl who is blankly...a whore.(broken in spayed) she's been around lol...and she plays games with head... next he states how heaven is on its way...another words he wants to die with her....but obviously its not gunna happen, and he knows this, he wants her gone...(he drinks his alcohol). basicly he's trying to drink her away....i've done plenty of times...and she wants him...but he knows he shopuldnt want her...but he does. the only thing he found in his town(chorus) is her, and its not worth staying...so he's on an emotional breakdown......thats my interpretation....even though i know most of ben's songs arnt about girls...this 1 definatly is |

wow you depressing people....its NOT EMO!! lol its not about suicide at all....its a simple metaphor...like he did with HOME song...which was amazing i might add....
