when i was going through a rough time i turned up on my friend's doorstep. it was pouring with rain, i had a placcy bag with stuff in it and he opened the door. he knew id been going tthrough a rough time and without saying anything took me upstairs to his room and gave me a towel for my hair. as we arrived in his roon his ipod shuffled to this song and we made up the bed together as it played and it just fitted. it was very weird but also moving. it was the day id thought would never come and really changed me as a person"growing up". i cant explain, i can only narrate to you what happened. a while later we were watching the oc graduation episode and the song came on. we both started crying half way through and although it was upsetting, this song symbolises a real release for me. its not about love, its about life. which in my opinion is much more beautiful. |
