| it's gotta be about a child growing up! this song is simplistic in terms of the words and sheet music. but i believe the build-up of the song gives provides some proof to the idea that a child is growing in age and the impact is finally taking it's toll on the songwriter. | |

i can honestly say that i believe the first couple verses are solely focused on the ups and downs of a relationship. The day is the good times...there's light and everything is clear. The night reflects those times that are darker and represent instances when everything isn't exactly 100% clear. However, i feel like the last verse is revealing exposure. she's showing different aspects of her commitment: making (love in action), singing (emotional), and then the physical gift of her body. I like how she went step by step in her lyrics like the way it is in a relationship |
