I think you guys are all misreading the "and I don't want to die alone," line. His girl is infected with a serious disease (likely cancer), and he can't stand the idea of having to live alone. Instead, he actually takes her life to end her suffering. That's why the cops come to pick him up. Euthanasia, etc. Freaking brilliant song. |
