Silverchair – Madman Lyrics 19 years ago
I first heard this song with lyrics on their 'Rarities' album and I thought it was absolutly awesome. I had always thought that the intrumental was awesome as it was, however I always wondered what meaning would be added to the song using lyrics. I cant decide which one I prefer. They're both GENUIS!

Silverchair – Ana's Song (Open Fire) Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree with most of what people are saying here about daniels eating disorder, but the fear of razors in daniels food and that chiefs were poisoning his food was not the only reason for his anorexia. He used it as a control. They were thrown into the public at such as early age and lost control of the most part of their lives, so much so that the intake of food was one of the only things daniel could fully control in his life. This song is so beautifully written and descibes his pain and battle with anorexia in such a vivid way. Daniel truly is a god.

John Mayer – Slow Dancing in a Burning Room Lyrics 19 years ago
Its obvious that this is a song about a break-up, but its the way in which he describes it which it so beautiful.

"My dear, we're slow dancing in a burning room"

The words "we're slow dancing" are symblic of the moments of pleasure that they have experience during their relationship and that they dont really want it to end, even though they know its enevitable. While the words "in a burning room" are symbolic of their relationship, or rather the burning room is their relationship, and as it continues to burn its flames will devour them both and eventually burn out to nothing.

It is a truly beautiful and passionate song, that depicts the tender moments of a relationship "I was the one you always dreamed of, You were the one I tried to draw" as well has the heart ache and harsh reality of break up "Don't you think we oughta know by now? Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?"

John Mayer you are a GOD
