here's my spin on the song do to a personal experience:
the two are friends and the guy realizes that he wants to do stuff with her. they have a secert little affair thing going on, but nobody can know for fear of letting someone know that they don't want to know (ie: a girlfriend that doesn't really go to the same school) and so they just keep it as a FWB thing. but then, they start to realize that maybe they are more to eachother than just a fuck....
