The guy loves his girl a lot ("I'm jumping off the room of my room/I'd break both of my legs to get to you"), but, quite obviously, her parents don't like her. It sounds like he's either gonna kill himself, or they're gonna kill themselves together ("Say goodbye to your parents/Cause this'll be the last time /That they ever see us alive"), but then later he's not going to do it, because his girl still needs him ("Face down in the mud/I'm holding a gun/I'm sitting at the bottom of the ocean/My love, the only one/With her arms wide open/Well she says 'Don't go, just don't go/I can't make it alone'/Well she says 'Don't go, just don't go/Cause I can't make it on my own'") |

after watching the video, i think i have to agree with all or nothin - we see him throwin around a bunch of stuff at his apartment but none of it hits the ground and then he walks out and then when the girl walks in, all the stuff that had been hovering in midair comes crashing down and a tear falls from her eye. so i think all the stuff crashing is to emphasize just how much it hurt him when she broke up with him or something like that and to show that he's sooo done with her now, and she realizes that and that's why she's crying. |

this song is a little deeper than most of them, i think
i think he likes his ex again, and she liked him again at some point, but at different times, and now its not working out, but there's nothing really anybody can do...
oh and i apologize for some of the lyrics being not there or incorrect, there were a few words i couldn't quite understand what he said when i was listening to it. |

this reminds me SO much of a musical, sorta like the hateful version is sung after the main character finds out the girl he likes is a whore, and then at the end, she changes, he falls in love with her or something, and then the alternate version with the loving lyrics is like the reprise at the end. |

This is about a guy who was born to write. ("I've got the gift of one liners," "My way with words") He's met this girl who's really amazing, in both looks and personality, and he's written a bunch of stuff about her. She's completely irresistable in terms of physical appearance. ("Her bone structure screams, 'Touch her! Touch her!'") However the girl, despite being amazing, is basically a whore ("But it's so hard/When you're shallow as a shower/From what I've heard, with skin you'll win"). And even though this girl has guys falling for her left and right, she feels like she's got it really hard ("And she's got the curse of curves") He knows this girl can be good, but he can't fight the gut feeling that says she's trouble and that he should stay away ("We've all got teeth that can bite underneath/To where the reality grows/Yeah that's where mine go")
And then the rest of the song just reiterates these feelings. |
