| The Changes – Her You and I Lyrics | 18 years ago |

are you kidding me? the song is called 'her you and i' not 'both you and i.' following that logic, when it's in the song it's 'her you and i.' in any event, at the very least the singer misses the girl. 'your face is made of glass/who shattered it' might be one of the most brilliant lines written in a very long time. |

| Sam Roberts – Taj Mahal Lyrics | 19 years ago |

this is a beautiful song; my favourite. it's pretty obvious it's about mumtaz mahal and shah jahan. she was his favourite wife and on her deathbed (during the birth of their 14th child) she asked him to build her a monument as a symbol of love, and she asked him not to marry anyone else. he obliged and now we have the taj mahal! |

| Sufjan Stevens – The Tallest Man, the Broadest Shoulders (Part 1: The Great Frontier; Part 2: Come to Me Only with Playthings Now) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
in reference to 'the house we got at sears': sears quite literally sold houses. they came in kits and you built-it-yourself. some houses are still standing, and with quirks like uneven doorways and stuff like that because a professional didn't exactly build it...! |
